Why people come in

Common Reasons for an Evaluation

  • A nagging shoulder, hip, knee, or back that flares when you train or move.
  • Coming back from an injury and wanting to load safely.
  • Pain you have been working around instead of through.
  • Wanting to move better and head off the next injury.
  • Staying active with lifting, CrossFit, running, or hiking without slowing down.

All fitness levels are welcome. You do not need a competition history to work with Nicole.

The bridge

From Feeling Better to Getting Stronger

The gap most people fall into is between finishing rehab and confidently training again. Nicole's advantage is that the clinical process happens where the barbells are, with a clear path back to full capability.

Start with Dr. Nicole

Pain or a recent injury is keeping you from training normally, or you need an evaluation before loading.

Start with a strength coach

You mainly want to get stronger with a plan and do not have pain that needs clinical attention first.

Do I need a referral?
No. Idaho allows direct access to physical therapists, so you can reach out to Dr. Sharp directly. If imaging or a physician visit makes sense, she will help you sort out next steps.
Do you take insurance, or is it cash-pay?
Sharp Physical Therapy & Performance is a cash-pay, out-of-network practice. HSA and FSA cards are accepted at the time of service.
Can I keep training while I work with you?
Usually, yes. Nicole assesses and treats you on the gym floor, under load, and integrates strength work so you keep moving while you recover.
How do I move from PT into strength coaching?
When you are ready, Nicole and the GZS coaches coordinate so you keep building on the same floor. Nicole also offers her own performance strength coaching if you want to stay under her guidance.
